Can you run faster than a nun?
For most of us, the answer to that question is a pretty safe “yes.” In the case of the Run for the Nun 5k, however, you may have to work pretty hard to answer in the affirmative. That’s why, in addition to awards in 15 age groups plus overall winners, there’s a special prize for beating the Running Nun.
Now in its 23rd year, the Run for the Nun is a Lexington, Kentucky tradition (some might say it’s become a habit). Reno Race Promotion is pleased to be working with this local mainstay and helping its attendance grow. We’re currently managing their Facebook page at facebook.com/Run4Nun, so give them a like. Head to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Lexington on Saturday, June 1, and ask yourself if you can beat the Running Nun. You might find the answer is not so black and white.
